Nd:YAG Laser

Q-switched Nd:YAG laser from Lutronic builds on the spectacular success of our award-winning VRM IITM laser system. This newest laser in our SPECTRA VRM series retains the robust reliability and versatility clinicians have come to expect of the VRM, in a lighter, more powerful and user-friendly laser that requires little or no maintenance.

Designed to treat a large number of dermatological and aesthetic applications, the Spectra laser is capable of producing four wavelengths. The system photo-mechanically removes hair, vascular and pigmented lesions and all tattoo ink colors with ease. Uses high intensity pulses of laser light to significantly lighten or completely remove tattoos without harming surrounding healthy cells. When particles of tattoo ink absorb the laser light, they are broken into tiny fragments, which are absorbed through the body's natural cleansing mechanism.

An additional operating mode, Spectra ModeTM, delivers a quasi-long pulse of 300 microseconds, ideally suited for the newest application in non-ablative skin resurfacing, Spectra Laser PeelTM. In combination with a carbon-based lotion, Spectra Mode creates a photothermal effect in the skin and stimulates skin cell regeneration.

The versatile also performs the Spectra Laser ToningTM procedure. This non-ablative procedure consistently delivers impressive results for the treatment of many types of pigmented lesions, with minimal discomfort to the patient and short recovery time. The consistent pulse-to-pulse stability in both Spectra Mode and traditional Q-switched modes, makes superior laser for cosmetic treatments, including non-ablative resurfacing to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles. The Spectra comes standard with a top-hat beam profile, short pulse duration and high peak power—essential technical advantages for any successful cosmetic laser practice.

Application - Spectra LaserPeel

Spectra Laser Peel is a unique and effective skin resurfacing treatment that leverages the dual mode capacity of the Spectra laser to provide outstanding clinical results.

Spectra Laser Peel is performed by laser in Spectra ModeTM (proprietary 300 μs, quasi-long pulse Nd:YAG wavelength.) Spectra Mode is employed in combination with photo-enhancing Spectra LotionTM to perform the laser peel procedure, utilizing both mechanical and thermal exfoliation to precisely remove 40 to 60 μm of tissue. One of the most effective and innovative non-ablative skin resurfacing procedures available today, the two-step thermal resurfacing process delivers dramatic results with acne scar and fine wrinkle reduction. Patients can return to normal activity immediately after treatment, with no downtime. Clinicians benefit from reduced treatment times and improved patient satisfaction.

The quasi-long pulse, which is delivered at 1064 nm, provides photo-bio-stimulation to the epidermis on the first pass, gently heating and mildly exfoliating the outermost layer of the skin. The following passes, also at 1064 nm in Q-switched mode, result in immediate photomechanical destruction of micro-fine carbon particles in the previously applied Spectra Lotion. The outermost layer of dead skin cells is gently removed. Fibroblasts, mast cells and macrophage cells, dermal cells associated with skin regeneration, are stimulated, resulting in collagen remodeling and controlled resurfacing. Skin surface tone and texture are improved, including a reduction in wrinkles and scars, without significant downtime or side effects.

Spectra Laser Peel is a powerful, controllable yet gentle protocol that allows complete clinical management of the skin resurfacing process for a wide range of indications and skin types.

Application - Spectra Laser Toning

Spectra Laser Toning is a safe, gentle and effective treatment ideal for some types of easily-irritated pigmented lesions. Physicians report excellent success rates with laser system. Spectra Laser Toning is an advanced treatment that utilizes the versatility of the spectra Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser.

Certain commonly acquired pigmented lesion disorders among Fitzpatrick skin types III and V have been difficult to treat with lasers and other light sources that target melanin, frequently resulting in irritation, PIH or other complications. On occasion, pigmented lesions have worsened, especially in Asian patients.

Some pigmented lesions are easily irritated and can recur. The uniform beam profile and short pulse width is important in achieving reliable and predictable clinical results with these, and many types of pigmented lesions, reducing the risk of adverse reactions.

A non-ablative procedure, patients typically tolerate Spectra Laser Toning without topical anesthetics and can return to their daily routines immediately. Treatments take as little as 10 minutes per session and are repeated five to 10 times at intervals of seven to 10 days until the pigmented lesions are no longer visible.

Spectra Laser Toning treatments can be combined with other complementary therapies to achieve multiple clinical advantages with little or no side effects, minimal downtime and high patient satisfaction.

Application - Spectra Tattoo Removal

Tattoos have become more prevalent and more colorful than ever before. Simple two-tone designs have been replaced with intricate, multi-hued art. Yet, an increasing number of people want these embellishments removed. Lutronic has developed an innovative way to assist physicians in effectively treating colorful tattoos with minimal discomfort.

Two Spectra DyeTM handpieces are available as optional accessories to the Spectra. In the 532 nm setting, these dye-impregnated handpieces can be used to treat any color tattoo. Offered in two wavelengths, the 650 nm handpiece can be used to remove various green inks, while the 585 nm handpiece is highly effective in treating sky blue ink. With the addition of the Spectra Dye handpieces, the Spectra offers four wavelengths in one laser.
